INRAE Researcher (Epigenetics)

Topic: Transgenerational effects of embryonic thermal manipulation in Japanese quail

My research aims to explore the link between epigenetic regulation of gene expression and the phenotypic response of plant and animal organisms to a changing environment. I have been studying since 2012 the molecular basis of increase early embryonic temperature (thermal manipulation) in poultry. In the framework of an ANR-funded Young Investigator project, I have notably studied the transgenerational impact of thermal manipulation on Japanese quail phenotype, transcriptome and epigenome. Since 2021, I focus my research on the contribution of epigenetic variability to the phenotypic plasticity during the development of the rainbow trout.
